Named, accountable GP

Every patient registered with our practice has a named, accountable GP.This is a requirement for all GP practices in England and helps make sure your care is properly coordinated.

Your named GP has overall responsibility for overseeing your care at the practice. They will work with the wider healthcare team to make sure your medical needs are considered and that you receive appropriate support.

Having a named GP does not mean you can only see that doctor. You can continue to book appointments with any available GP or healthcare professional at the practice, depending on your needs and preferences.

Your named GP may not always be the person you see at every appointment, but they will have overall responsibility for your care and can help ensure that important information is shared between different members of the team.
